SCOFIELD, John M. (DATE: December 8, 1910)
John M Scofield was born in Franklin County, Ohio June 3, 1852 and died in Paulding, Ohio, November 29, 1910, aged 58 years, 5 months and 6 days. He was married nine years ago to Rhonda Good, since which time he has resided in Paulding. Mr. Scofield was a day laborer and was industrious so far as health permitted. For a number of months past he was to ill to toil. There survive him his wife, two sisters and two bothers. The sisters and one brother make their home in Marion County; the other brother lives in Oklahoma. The funeral was held at the Church of God, northeast of Paulding, where the burial took place on December 1st. Rev. D. F. Helms having charge of the service.

SIDLE, Jacob (DATE: December 8, 1910)
Jacob Sidle was born Feb 20, 1838 in Perry County, Pa. In 1864 he entered the one hundred day service in the civil war and recieved an honorable discharge from the same at Camp Chase, Ohio on August 24, 1864. The same year he was married to Hannah McEwen and moved at once near Rising Sun, Ohio, which was the famil home for a number of years. To them were born four daughters. His wife having died. Mr. Sidle was married a second time to Martha Trees. To this union were born one daughter and three sons. In 1897 the family moved near Junction, Ohio where the husband and father died December 3, 1910, aged 72 years, 9 months, and 13 days. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Lucy E. Rees, of Cygnet, Ohio and Alma Miller, of Rising Sun, Ohio; two sons George and Hugh Sidle, residing at the old home; two sisters, three brothers, 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. The funeral was held in the Junction Methodist Church Tuesday, Dec. 6th. at 2 p.m. Rev. Helms conducting the service. Interment at Junction.

SILVERS, Mrs. Alvin (DATED: April 27, 1964)
Mrs. Alvin (Sharon) Silvers, Jr., 32, of Margate, Florida, died at 4:10 a.m. Monday at a Margate Hospital. She was a graduate of South Side High School, Fort Wayne. Her death was sudden. Surviving are her husband, Alvin; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johnson.

SIMMERS, Mercy Eurena (Handy)
Mercy E. Handy, oldest daughter of Reveras A. and Electa A. Handy, was born July 18, 1856, near Antwerp, Ohio, and passed away at the home of her son, W. A. Simmers, Albion, Mich., Feb. 27, 1929, aged 72 years, 7 months and 9 days.
She was united in marriage with Arthur O. Simmers Dec. 31, 1878 and to this union were born three children, namely W. A. (William A.) and H. E. (Harry Earnest, Elsie Simmers' father) Simmers of Albion, Mich, and Cressie G. Otteman of Twin Falls, Idaho.
The husband preceded her in death in 1889, also one grandchild, one great-grandchild and a sister, Myrtle B. (Brush).
She was one of a family of six girls, four of whom survive, Mrs. George (Hattie) Barber and Mrs. W. H. (Ida Jane) Slattery of Antwerp, Mrs. G. W. (Minnie Rose) Walker of Spargursville, Ohio, and Mrs. W. H. (Eliz. Estis) Stevens of Chicago; seven grand-children and one great grand-child.
Soon after marriage she was converted to the Christian faith and united with the Edwards Chapel church near her home. At the time of her death she was a member of the Hicksville church.
Funeral services were held at the Perkins & Reeb funeral parlors, burial at Antwerp, conducted by H. Stahl.

STIEBELING, Pauline
Pauline E Stiebeling - Johnson-McQueen, 85, died at 2:14 pm Sunday in Paulding County Hospital. She was a resident of Hometown Nursing Home. She was born Aug 26, 1905 in Muncie Ind to Berlie and Nellie (Mort) Yoakam. In 1925 she married John Stiebeling who died in 1944. In 1951 she married Millard Johnson and he died in 1965. In 1969 she married Ralph McQueen, Sr who died in 1975. McQueen was a sales clerk for Cassel Hardware, Paulding, and also a member of Order of Eastern Star chapter 95 where she was a past worthy matron. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Gloria J Hawley of Rothschild Wis; a son Paul E Stiebeling, Fort Wayne; three step-daughters and three step-sons; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents , three husbands, a brother, Harold E Yoakam, a great-grandson, Brandon Fiet and one step-daughter, Louise White. Service will be at 2 pm today at DenHecker Funeral Home, the Rev David D Proctor officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Live Oak Cemetery. Friends may call from 8 am today until time of the service. Preferred memorials are to Hometown Nursing Home.

STUART, Amy M. (DATED: 9 February 1888)
At her residence in Crane township on Saturday, February 4th, 1888, Amy M. Stuart. Funeral February 6th, conducted by Rev. Tedrow, of Sherwood, and was largely attended. Deceased was an old resident and well and favorably known in the neighborhood where she resided.

SWINDLER, Etta May (DATE: November 24, 1910)
Diphtheria at Swindler's - Miss Etta May Swindler, aged 14, daughter of Charles Swindler, the mail carrier, was taken with an attack of diphtheria Sunday, and on Monday the house was quaratined and Mr. Swindler was compelled to stay at home and care for the patient. Antitoxin was administered to Etta May and also to the other two younger children.The infant child of the family is said to be in little danger of contracting the contagion. Etta May was taken suddenly and unexpectedly. She attended school on friday.

SWINDLER, Helen Blanche (DATE: December 29, 1910)
A little girl baby of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Swindler died last Tuesday evening of indigestion after a protracted illness. Her name was Helen Blanche, and she was aged two months. The funeral was held yesterday by Rev. Yeuell. The family desire to thank the friends for many acts of kindness and numerous of floral offerings
