EBERLE, Charles B.  (DATE: September 15, 1926)
Chas. B. Eberle, for the past ten years foreman in the Reflector office, passed away Wednsday at the home of his sister Mrs. E. C. Johnston at Westfield, New York. Mr. Eberle, or Charlie, as he was known to his numerous friends in Payne and vincinity, was an industrious, capable and dependable printer, and always on the job. He came here during the summer of 1916 and was a most faithful employee of this office ever since. He had been in ill health for sometime but would not give up. On August 30, Mr. Eberle left on the 8:48 for the home of his sister at Westfield, New York, to regain his health. A week later he sent this office a letter that he was improving and was very hopeful of getting back "on the job" as he stated. Wednsday morning we recieved a letter from his sister stating that Charlie wasn't improving much. At noon we recieved a telegram from his brother Frank J. Eberle, of Buffalo, that Charlie had passed away. Charlie was well liked and esteemed by his numerous of friends and will be greatly missed, for he was always a happy, jolly good fellow. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. E. C. Johnston, of Westfield, N.Y., Mrs. Harriet Lake, of Buffalo, N.Y., Mrs. E. A. Foster, of Detroit, Mich., and two bothers, Frank J. Eberle, of Buffalo, N.Y., and a brother at Washington D.C.

EVANS, Vertie May  (DATE: December 16, 1950)
Mrs. Vertie May Evans, 63, died Saturday afternoon at her home near Antwerp after an illness of five months. Surviving are the husband, Eral F. Evans; two sons, Clyde at home and Paul of Payne; three daughters, Mrs. Luther Reeb and Mrs. Robert Armstrong of Antwerp and Mrs. Kenneth Comer of Hicksville; four brothers, Ray Cottrell of Mark Center, Ohio, Iden Cottrell of Antwerp, Verl Cottrell of Pueblo, Colo, and Warren Cottrell of Hicksville, also ten grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Bethel Methodist Church, northeast of Antwerp, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o' clock, the Rev. J. E. Turner officiating. Burial in Maumee Cemetery at Antwerp.
