EBERLE, Charles B.
(DATE: September 15, 1926)
Chas. B. Eberle, for
the past ten years foreman in the Reflector office, passed away
Wednsday at the home of his sister Mrs. E. C. Johnston at Westfield,
New York. Mr. Eberle, or Charlie, as he was known to his numerous
friends in Payne and vincinity, was an industrious, capable and
dependable printer, and always on the job. He came here during the
summer of 1916 and was a most faithful employee of this office ever
since. He had been in ill health for sometime but would not give up. On
August 30, Mr. Eberle left on the 8:48 for the home of his sister at
Westfield, New York, to regain his health. A week later he sent this
office a letter that he was improving and was very hopeful of getting
back "on the job" as he stated. Wednsday morning we recieved a letter
from his sister stating that Charlie wasn't improving much. At noon we
recieved a telegram from his brother Frank J. Eberle, of Buffalo, that
Charlie had passed away. Charlie was well liked and esteemed by his
numerous of friends and will be greatly missed, for he was always a
happy, jolly good fellow. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. E. C.
Johnston, of Westfield, N.Y., Mrs. Harriet Lake, of Buffalo, N.Y., Mrs.
E. A. Foster, of Detroit, Mich., and two bothers, Frank J. Eberle, of
Buffalo, N.Y., and a brother at Washington D.C.
